The Eagles put in a dominant showing for their first match of the season away vs the Windsor Charter Thunderbirds, with a final score of 8-0. Jayden Taylor (Senior, Midfielder) opened the scoring in the 2nd minute by heading home a cross by Tyler Thieszen (Freshman, Midfielder). Luke Balic-Wilson (Junior, Midfielder) made it 2-0 in the 29th minute, also assisted by Thieszen. Luke Lundy (Junior, Defender) made it 3-0 just before the half on an assist from Seth Nichols (Senior, Forward).
At the start of the second half, Jude Daley (Senior, Midfielder) made it 4-0 on the 4th touch of the half, assisted by Jayden Taylor. Luke Balic-Wilson made it 5-0, scoring his second goal of the game unassisted in the 55th minute. Seth Nichols fired home a PK in the 70th minute after being taken down in the box for the 6-0 lead, and scored again just 2 minutes later from an assist by Jayden Taylor to make it 7-0. Finally, TJ Gantek (Junior, Midfielder) put the last goal in from distance just before the end of the second half, assisted by Sydney Nichols (Sophomore, Midfielder).
Junior Goalkeeper Anthony Daley recorded his first shutout of the season, saving all 6 shots on goal he faced.
