Heritage Christian Academy Soccer Program Vision
- Transform the program to better benefit the player, family, surrounding community, and most importantly benefit the player in becoming more God-honoring.
- Improve as a program to meet the needs of the player, family, school.
- Attention and development of all players in the program: experienced and those players new to the sport.
- Assess why boys are playing for the team and how we can continue to foster, reinforce, and fulfill that need.
- Create a player centered environment; facilitate an experience that is enjoyable to the player.
- Opportunity to develop soccer but, more importantly, young Christian men.
- To partner with both family and school to develop consistent character: integrity, courage, perseverance, and a willingness to sacrifice and lead for the greater good.
- Reject passivity and “be doers of the word” (James 1:22) on the field as teammates, opponents, and in the community.
- Although we are called to act, lead, and work hard, at the same time have an awareness of being ultimately dependent on God.
